Follow-up Comment #7, bug #55029 (project octave): @Michael: Maybe try disabling readline entirely? run-octave -f -q --no-line-editing pause Otherwise, you might have to try using hg bisect to figure out where this was introduced. Works fine for me though with current tip (32d4ee071348).
