                Category:                    None => Plotting with OpenGL   
                  Status:                    None => Confirmed

Follow-up Comment #3:

Marking as confirmed.  I switched the Catgeory to "Plotting with OpenGL" since
it works if you change to the gnuplot toolkit.  It seems very likely that this
has to do wit the automatic routines that work not to plot unnecessary data. 
In this case, the y-data is outside the axis limits so it seems to think that
it doesn't need to pass the data to OpenGL for rendering.
