Follow-up Comment #25, bug #55287 (project octave):
Please reopen.
My original example for this bug (without the clf) still consumes massive
amounts of memory and crash my system (4 Gigs of RAM) after about 5000
iterations. Seems that the resources used by plot() are not released
automatically...
