Follow-up Comment #1, bug #55415 (project octave):

There are some leaks associated with putenv, which are completely known and
unavoidable.  The only thing that seems different from the baseline besides
putenv is a few leaks like this one

Don't know how to go about finding out whate the problem is.  It appears to be
feval, which means it might be a user function leaking memory.
