Follow-up Comment #4, bug #55541 (project octave):

Hardly: the `octave-gui` process is stuck at 0.3% CPU, and the Octave-4.4.1
process is at 0.0%.

Here are "samples" files I grabbed of the processes from Activity Monitor
while it was frozen, if that helps:
