Follow-up Comment #13, bug #54662 (project octave): @John: Please respond on the bug tracker so that others can follow as well. "octave.bat" should be starting octave-cli.exe after setting up the necessary paths. octave-cli.exe is not linked to qt. So if this fails as well that probably means that other dependencies also dropped support for Windows XP. Since I don't have any means to test if it works, I don't see how I could offer an unofficial version for Windows XP (let alone hosting it).
