Follow-up Comment #10, bug #47680 (project octave): In my opinion this is a general feature of Matlab OOP, not a special syntax from this particular syntax. What I mean is that obj.XXXX (args, ...) is supposed to be equivalent to XXXX (obj, args ...) for any method XXXX.
