Follow-up Comment #15, bug #48095 (project octave):
I think that even if the configuration files created by and for the GUI are
"internal use only", their existence should at least be documented so that
users who do care know where Octave is reading and writing its configuration
from. We can also add a feature to reload default settings, essentially
clearing the user's settings file. But I think the manual should at least
mention somewhere where Octave expects to be able to read and write these
files.
