Follow-up Comment #9, bug #55883 (project octave):

Sorry, I should have checked, but I missed what you said in comment #1 and
thought that QOpenGLWidget was available in all Qt 5 versions.

Given the structure of the current tests, making it conditional and not using
the Qt5OpenGL module if QOpenGLWidget is available is harder and would
definitely be a more disruptive change.  So I just backed out the changeset. 
It builds on most systems and is only failing on systems that no longer have
the Qt5OpenGL module, correct?  If so, then I'd recommend as a work around to
just edit the configure script and change QT_OPENGL_MODULE as needed.
