Running the example with -dpdflatexstandalone as shown here

the following warnings appear, but they are likely unwarranted because the
result turns out to be correct.  Also note that there is a bug in the example
mentioned (print command should write to tex and not to pdf), a bug report was
just submitted for the error in the example code in the manual.
