Follow-up Comment #4, bug #55963 (project octave):
@Rik: Thanks, this will give us some time to think about this synchronous
approach which doesn't really fix what it was meant to fix (bug #52225, bug
#53328 among others), may lead to deadlocks and finally slows things down (see
bug #55418).
