Update of bug #56805 (project octave):
Severity: 3 - Normal => 4 - Important
Item Group: None => Segfault, Bus Error, etc.
Status: None => Confirmed
Operating System: Microsoft Windows => Any

Follow-up Comment #1:
Confirmed. This result is also the same on a Linux machine so it is not
confined to the Windows build. On the development branch of Octave there is
no infinite loop, but it is still not handled correctly. I get
text(0,0,char(169))
