[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #57186] [mxe-octave] Build error: cannot find

From: Philip Nienhuis
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #57186] [mxe-octave] Build error: cannot find the library 'libgui/liboctgui.la' or unhandled argument 'libgui/liboctgui.la'

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #57186 (project octave):

@Mike:
I retried after wiping directories /octave plus the relevant dlls and exes and
the relevant octave & octave-6.0.0 subdirs in /usr/x68_64-w64-mingw32/ (bin/,
include/, lib/, libexec/ and share/) in the mxe-octave build tree.
Building a complete new mxe-octave tree takes about 20 hours or more on my
current build box (a Lenovo X230 core i5 laptop) so I try to keep mxe-octave
build trees alive for some time (2-3 months), with hg pull/updates to keep it
current.

@JWE:
Thanks, I've started a new build (Linux first of course). As soon as
mxe-octave "default-octave" has been built (or failed again) I'll report back
here (I guess within ~1 hour).
BTW, (just curious) why is there an /octave subdir in mxe-octave, plus the
installed files in /usr/x68_64-w64-mingw32/ ? It seems like mere duplicates.
