Follow-up Comment #8, bug #57220 (project octave):

I do not think that this is a problem, since the key sequences are stored as
strings in the settings file (QKeySequence::toString ()) as human-readable
strings are a common representation for key sequences (e.g. example Ctrl+P in
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qkeysequence.html#details)
