Follow-up Comment #1, bug #57238 (project octave): Thanks for the report, Philip. The positioning of the find dialog is definitely not very intuitive. I remember that its behavior changed some time ago (not intentionally) but I did not have the time to tackle it down. I agree that one dialog for all tabs is probably the expected behavior from other editors.
