Follow-up Comment #20, bug #56952 (project octave):

I pushed the following changeset:

  https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/cdb681adc85a

I can't say for sure that this fixes everything (let's wait for a few trips
through the buildbots first) but on a system that was reliably failing with
make -j9, I haven't seen any further segfaults.
