Follow-up Comment #33, bug #46521 (project octave):
I'm having a problem installing the communications package given John's
instructions.
checking for octave/interpreter.h... yes
./configure: line 3570: syntax error near unexpected token `HDF5,hdf5,'
./configure: line 3570: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(HDF5,hdf5,'
Any hints on what I may be missing? I have libhdf5-dev installed.
