Follow-up Comment #19, bug #57553 (project octave):
I guess I had some stale files from previous installation. i wiped out and
reinstall and now I am getting the same png files as you.
The filsize is still slightly off, but that might be due to graphics/display
size differences. It is also look to me that the issue is with svg generator.
The colorbar looks OK if you go through postscript -> png route.
