Follow-up Comment #31, bug #57879 (project octave):

The commit message, NEWS file, and docstring changes still need some
significant English rewrites before applying. But the rest of this patch looks
very good.

It would also be better if you would configure your git and hg commands to use
your full name instead of your user name, unless you prefer anonymity, which
doesn't seem to be the case here.

Nader, thanks for your work on fixing this bug. If you are interested in
contributing to Octave, please do continue to study how Octave defines
functions, handles errors, documents functions and arguments, and includes
unit tests, this bug only scratches the surface.
