Details:
This code:
fname = 'recording.wav';
[audio_in ,audio_freq_sampl] = audioread(fname);
sound(audio_in)
Fails for me with the errors:
ALSA lib pcm_dsnoop.c:641:(snd_pcm_dsnoop_open) unable to open slave
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1089:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave

Here's my `/etc/asound.conf`:
pcm_type.pulse {
libs.native =
/nix/store/blnv3lm40lpd0pqvk53ds5v04b1gpxl4-alsa-plugins-1.2.2/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so
;
}
pcm.!default {
type pulse
hint.description "Default Audio Device (via PulseAudio)"
}
ctl_type.pulse {
libs.native =
/nix/store/blnv3lm40lpd0pqvk53ds5v04b1gpxl4-alsa-plugins-1.2.2/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_ctl_pulse.so
;
}
ctl.!default {
type pulse
}
I use NixOS so that's why the libraries are located in these obscure
locations. Sound is working for me for every other program I test.
