Follow-up Comment #19, bug #49503 (project octave):

Even if you build a native version, the problem remains that any tests you do
running that native version don't necessarily match what the cross-compiled
version will do.  That would especially be true if you built it using all the
options to disable external dependencies as we do with the no-extras builbot
configurations.
