Follow-up Comment #16, bug #57634 (project octave):

Unfortunately, I am still not able to reproduce this issue following the steps
in comment #15 with a recent build from the default branch. 

Does this effect also show up when you trigger a command by another way, like,
e.g., via the context menu of an entry in the command history?
