Follow-up Comment #5, bug #59238 (project octave): The default line ending on Windows is CRLF. The following example produces a file with CRLF line ending on Windows: A = rand(4); save A_test.txt A -ascii Having written that: It's also quite common to come across files with LF line ending on Windows.
