Follow-up Comment #6, bug #59314 (project octave): @Markus, Sorry for the confusion. I understand your concern with non-ASCII in regular expressions and I would neither be happy about the OP's patch to be applied. It seems to be not a general problem, showing up on every system. For me the problem only showed up once in a particular system setup.
