Follow-up Comment #6, bug #59451 (project octave):

Oh, one clarification, Octave is still searching for the function when the
handle is created.  It is just being tolerant of the function not being found
at that point.  Instead, I guess it should always defer until the first time
it is called or info about it is requested?  In Matlab, does calling
functions(fh) trigger a search?  If so, is that info sticky from that point
on?
