Follow-up Comment #72, bug #50025 (project octave):

Thank you Andrew,

new command got Octave 6 installed in ~12 minutes. Got iMac upgraded to v
11.0.1 Big Sur as well.

Command+Q was grayed out for quite some time, so I was concerned one problem
was replaced by another, but Octave kept functioning normally, there was no
spinning pinwheel, and finally Command+Q became available again (whatever app
was doing).

Appreciate the work of all the developers. Matlab is still an expensive option
to have for personal use, and Octave seems to be just as good so far in
initial use.
