Follow-up Comment #1, bug #59701 (project octave):

Thanks for the report. I guess you refer to the "focus follows mouse" policy?
This only seems to work for floating widgets, as hovering with the mouse over
docked widgets does not change the current focus (and does not emit the
QApplication::focusChanged signal). I have to find out whether this is not
supported by Qt or whether Octave breaks something here.
