Follow-up Comment #1, bug #57938 (project octave):
MacPorts just updated Octave to version 6.1.0, andI'm in the process of
updating the packages. This problem has not gone away.
However, I see that there was a similar issue with Octave itself in 2015:

I've tried setting the problematic #includes in cap_ffmpeg_impl_ov.hpp to
extern "C", but to no avail.
Can someone please help me to resolve this?
