Follow-up Comment #21, bug #55402 (project octave):

Thanks for the clarification, Dreamhost manages them automatically.  Octave
adopted Let's Encrypt certificates quite "early", maybe some bug with their
system has been resolved in the meantime and things work hopefully flawless in
the future.  Anyways, thanks for your help with this 🙂
