Follow-up Comment #1, bug #60099 (project octave):

You can build Octave without CHOLMOD, but you can't build the documentation
without COLAMD, CHOLMOD, UMFPACK, QHULL.

One option is to run configure with '--disable-docs' to avoid creating the
documentation.

Another option is to download a tarball of a release, such as the new 6.2.0,
which includes a complete set of documentation.  Because the documentation
already exists, the host machine is not required to have the extra libraries.
