Agreed, this isn't an Octave bug but an Adobe one. Wouldn't be the first
time.
Btw, you don't need LibreOffice to convert SVG to PDF. Octave can write PDFs
natively. You can also merge multiple PDFs together programmatically with
something like pdfsam.
