Follow-up Comment #31, bug #53627 (project octave):

I pushed a modified version of Andrew's patch in comment #24 here:

Main changes to his original patch are:
- Update the help text for "--enable-no-undefined".
- No longer default to "-enable-link-all-dependencies" on macOS.
- Add path to Octave libraries in linker flags used by mkoctfile if built with
"-enable-link-all-dependencies".
