Follow-up Comment #11, bug #60539 (project octave): doubles are much less of a problem, although the new algorithm produces slightly different results from either Matlab or the previous algorithm. Also, the algorithm definitely still needs to be accurate for single values since they are an accepted input. The old algorithm produces 0.9786913 for the example code which is the same as Matlab.
