Follow-up Comment #1:

Confirmed.  The result should be


[0+sqrt(2)*i, 0+0i;
 0+0i       , 0+sqrt(2)*i]


Setting "Release" field to "dev" since the fix is likely to be involved and
will have to be made on the development branch.

This is also a compatibility issue as Matlab gets the correct answer.
