Details:

I’ve developed a nice simple interface where I list various functions in my
data analysis package in a listdlg then the function is called based in the
item selected.

My problem is that the position of listdlg defaults to the middle of the
screen, which prevents some of the functions from using that area, or having
to move the listdlg to allow plots etc. to be seen fully.

I’ve tried to implement something using the ui functions, but I lack the
skills to make it work as well as I’d like, and I find that my time would be
better spent answering the problems I’m trying to solve rather than writing
a GUI and having to figure out all the fiddly stuff.

I wondered if, given that “position” is an option in other parts of
Octave, whether I could ask that it be implemented in listdlg and other
related functions?

I’m running Octave 5.2.0 X86_64-w64-mingw32 on a windows 10 machine build
19041.867
