Follow-up Comment #2, bug #60632 (project octave):
After some investigation, here is the actual behaviour :
Upon right-clicking on a user name or keyword, the right-click menu is
displayed in extreme transparency ( perhaps 99% transparency ). It is barely
visible.
If the mouse is moved, the menu appears instantly.
If the mouse remains stationary, the menu can take several seconds to appear.
