Sorry. I didn't check before writing my comment.
The Windows installer bundles sympy 1.4:
https://hg.octave.org/mxe-octave/file/7bc0af5b2c9a/src/python-sympy.mk
It might be possible to upgrade to 1.5.0 or 1.5.1...
I don't know if this will affect this warning though.
