Follow-up Comment #1, bug #61813 (project octave):

This looks very similar to bug #61472.

In that report, it was acted upon the assumption that this is only ever an
issue for complex type arrays.
Does this example also cause issues when it is run without Valgrind?
Do you know of platforms where this causes actual issues with real type
arrays?
