Follow-up Comment #7, bug #61784 (project octave): How do we want to move forward with this? Is it ok to have those function templates with their deprecated instantiation? I found this old (resolved) bug report about deprecating function templates: https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33911 Apparently, the current behavior is by design?
