Follow-up Comment #3, bug #61754 (project octave): Thank you very much for your work. Instead of modified source files, patch files are the preferred form of contribution. That way, it would be easier to see what you changed and it would reduce the risk of accidentally reverting changes in the development sources (by replacing an existing file with some other file). Additionally, it would be preferable if bug fixes and new features come in distinct patch files. (You can still use the same bug report for submitting those when they are closely related.)
