I split the patch into two parts. One with the bug fixes and another one with the style change. Pushed the part with the bug fixes to the stable branch here: https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/27566803b3b1 And the part with the style change here: https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/9b8c74d85fa7 Looking at this a little more closely, I'm wondering if it would make sense to move the respective change into `__pchip_deriv__.cc`. (Added a FIXME note for that.)
