Follow-up Comment #2, bug #61978 (project octave):
I had a quick look after Avinoam Kalma added me but it looks like the API had
some big changes from ffmpeg 4.4 to 5.0 and libav should also be supported (or
are we willing to drop support for libav?).
Tl;DR: No, I'm currently not working on this and it looks like a big change
which I can't do the next 3 months.
