Follow-up Comment #3:
IIUC, there is nothing Octave can do to avoid this issue. A user would need to
make sure that Octave and all of its dependencies consistently link with
either libgomp or libomp, or use the other work-around mentioned by Arun. (But
I'm not sure if it is a good idea to mix libgomp and libomp even with that
work-around...)
