I still need help.  Can you tell me what ls see me trying to do when I type
these: 

ls *
ls \*
ls .\*
ls .\\*
ls ./*
>> ls D:\Users\Owner\Desktop\BEV\doc\*
ls: cannot access 'D:/Users/Owner/Desktop/BEV/doc\*': No such file or
directory
>> ls D:\Users\Owner\Desktop\BEV\doc\\*
ls: cannot access 'D:/Users/Owner/Desktop/BEV/doc/\*': No such file or
directory
