Follow-up Comment #3, bug #62889 (project octave):
I can also confirm this with a local directory entered as UNC path in the file
browser. The file browser's view uses QFileSystemModel which in turn uses
QFileSystemWatcher in order to be recognized of changes in the file system.
The latter is also used by the editor and here, file changes are recognized
when the file is opened via UNC path and changed outside the editor. I am
going to carry out some more tests to get more insight about possible causes
of this issue.
