[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63370] liboctave.so: undefined reference to `

From: Arun Giridhar
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63370] liboctave.so: undefined reference to `cgejsv_' while building from scratch gcc-9.4.0 + RHEL7
Date: Tue, 15 Nov 2022 06:34:47 -0500 (EST)

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #63370 (project octave):

> If users need to build newer versions on those systems, would it be
acceptable for them to also build newer versions of dependencies?

Yes, completely. Building current versions of Octave on older systems cannot
be done without significant effort.

@OP: if you're trying to reuse old and slow hardware, you could look into a
lightweight version of a modern OS instead of an older OS like RHEL 6.
