Follow-up Comment #12, bug #63752 (project octave):

Your configure line appears to have a typo:  "--disable-jave" instead of
"--disable-java".

You aren't using the experimental terminal widget (QTerminal::create is called
instead of the constructor for the new command_widget object).  To use the new
terminal widget, you must use the command line option
"--experimental-terminal-widget"  when starting Octave.

I understand that there are threading issues that could cause trouble.  Do you
see the same ones if you start Octave with the
"--experimental-terminal-widget" option?
