And this makes it 1601.

What is easy for one person may not be easy for another. Only the person knows
their own skillset.  

There was a list of "Easy close" items at
https://wiki.octave.org/Short_projects#Easy_Closes

many of them have been worked on at some point in the past. Many just needed
updating, information about how current or relevant the info is, updating a
submitted patch to the current code base, etc.  


This list probably can be brought up to date, and there are probably numerous
others that could be added. We appreciate your feedback and welcome more
direct discussion over at discourse.octave.org rather than on the bug
tracker.
