Follow-up Comment #28, bug #66882 (group octave):

For a test I made the following change (file das_oct-convn.diff).
For benchmarks in comment 7 I see slight improvements for x1 and x2 and same
numbers for x3 and x4. Still the same large-ish difference between "full" and
"valid". But that may be an issue with "*axpy" from BLAS. BTW, "*axpy" from
OpenBLAS (0.3.29) appears to be completely broken for MacOS (the timing is 40x
longer than with APPLE Veclib), and I suspect not too good for x86_64 (timings
the same with OpenBLAS and NETLIB, I will try to get some other blas there).
