It occurs to me that octave could benefit from startup logic similar to (but
simpler than) that used by linux init scripts.
Right now the octaverc startup scripts are empty, ootb. If they were instead
setup to look for and execute any files in subdirectory startup.d, say, then
3'rd party octave packages could easily install/remove their own startup
scripts without requiring hand-editing by the user/administrator.
Worth doing?
